Philosophy and ethics- ethics is more than right or wrong- or is it?

Hey all, in a nice, casual, social way I just wanted a place to discuss general ethics. Firstly, I wanted to bring up a couple of ethical fallacies that I hope to avoid. 'For the greater good' although logically this is appealing, it is the first step on a slippery slope to 'the ends justify the means' which is exactly the mantra fed to us to justify false imprisonment, torture and war.
